Outpacing Melanoma Coronavirus Response

Dear Outpacing Melanoma 5K Supporter,

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to navigate the ever-changing advice from local and federal authorities as the situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve. Please know that the health and well-being of our Outpacing Melanoma family/patrons is of highest importance to us.

As you know, a state of emergency has been declared to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. As of yesterday, public events with 50 or more people have been banned for the next two months. Our event date of Sunday, May 3rd falls within this mandate.

In response, we have tentatively pushed our event out to Sunday, May 31, 2020. However, given the uncertainties posed by the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19), we are also considering the option of making our race a “virtual” event.

We will continue to actively monitor the situation, and keep you updated as we learn more about the status of our event and how best to proceed to ensure a safe environment in our community.

In the event that we are not able to hold our race as planned, please be assured that we will work to find an acceptable resolution or issue you a refund.
